Train to be a registered Nurse

Nursing is one of the most meaningful and in-demand careers in Coconino County and across the country. CCC’s Associate of Applied Science in Nursing prepares you to work as a registered nurse through a rigorous combination of classroom learning, skills lab training, simulation, and clinical rotations at local healthcare facilities. Graduates leave with the knowledge, clinical skills, and professional foundation needed to practice as registered nurses in a variety of healthcare settings.

Is this program right for you?

Nursing at CCC is designed for students who are ready to commit to a demanding, sequential program that requires significant time, preparation, and personal investment. Before applying, most students complete prerequisites over several semesters and work as nursing assistants to build the hands-on healthcare experience required for admission.

* Please note: This is not a program you can complete while working full time. Clinical rotations, skills labs, and simulation requirements are intensive and mandatory. Students enrolled in the nursing program are not permitted to work for eight or more hours immediately before a clinical rotation or class.

If you are early in your healthcare journey, you may also consider starting with CCC’s Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) program. Earning your LNA license is a prerequisite for the Nursing AAS and gives you practical patient care experience that will serve you throughout your nursing education.
